WHERE DID ALL OF THIS REALLY START?

Everything began with the refusal to accept the result of the election that took place between Candidate Jeremiah Pascual and then-candidate (now Pastor) Emmanuel Jasojaso in 2022.

Since the time when the relatives and friends of Candidate Jeremiah Pascual left the First Reformed Church of Bulacan on June 12, 2022, we deliberately chose not to respond to their malicious accusations against the consistory and the church. Why? Because we were still hoping that things would eventually be resolved. Whatever we say is hard to take back if the time comes that their group is reconciled with our church. Instead of answering these accusations publicly, we preferred to conduct a Bible study with the confessing members to discuss the issue and present our side.

However, since June 2022 until now (almost 3 years), the First Orthodox Reformed Protestant Church (FORPC) has relentlessly continued to slander and make malicious accusations against FRCB. We published one article, which can be found on our website. Just one article, divided into two parts. Other than that, have we released any other writings? None. And from that one article alone, Candidate Pascual was filled with rage! You can see the burning anger and choice of words in his posts on his FB account and on the FORPC FB page. I feel sorry for him. It is not easy to be consumed by anger. And even though we have not responded to his attacks in their magazine, Sword and Shield, nor to his sermons over the past 3 years, now that we have finally spoken through an article, it will surely not be good for his health.

That is why I thought—to help ease his daily worries and stress—I will continue what our consistory previously wrote on our website and I will complete it in three parts:

1. My response to Candidate Jeremiah Pascual;

2. My response to Rev. Nathan Langerak; and

3. My appeal to my beloved brethren and friends in FORPC.

This is the first time I am responding publicly. I did not write the article on the website—our consistory did. And I will make this article compelling—not to be a venue for gossip, but to provide edification for those who read!

He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbor cometh and searcheth him. - Prov. 18:17
